Banyan’s fruits

Banyan spreads hair on the muddy river
As its red fruits drop on it like rain drops.

Come to it to experience sleep and death
Extorting sleep, interest for life’s capital.

The fruits mark time for periodic interest.
Interest ceases only on the redemption.

You may sleep off your interest payments
And hope that interest is not redemption.
